Dear Valued Peak Team Member,

As you navigate the complexities of this COVID-19 pandemic, the non-stop media coverage surrounding it, and contemplate the effects it may have on your job and family, we at Peak want to assure you that our focus remains on the health and welfare of our employees, our customers, and our business partners around the nation.

While the region and our country are deeply engaged in halting the spread of the COVID-19 virus, there are many of us who must get up, dress up, show up, and continue to make a difference daily. It is exactly those people, Peak people, that I am addressing here, and would like to thank for their continuing diligence, dependability, and awesome contribution in the face of uncertainty.

In my 32 years in this rewarding career, I can say I’ve never known the importance of workforce support to our community to be as great as it is now. This isn’t business as usual. It is now business as unusual, a time of great stress and uncertainty. It’s also a moment in time when the work we’re doing is most critical.

You and I are providing a vital service to organizations everywhere, especially those businesses who must remain open to deliver essential goods and services. Do not doubt for one moment that people are depending on us, and we must continue to step-up at this critical moment in our nation’s history.

We’re not alone in being grateful for the work you are performing. We’ve received dozens of emails from our clients and businesses outside the Peak family noticing the extra efforts of our organization and the great talent we employ. Many more have called upon us because of the dedicated workforce we can provide. That’s huge – and we have you to thank. Let’s ensure we continue to spread “peak performance”.

Restaurants, gyms, hair salons, bars, and other non-essential businesses are being forced to shut their doors across our area and the nation. Other organizations are being forced to cut back. Unemployment will rise. People will struggle. Some businesses will never recover. It is here that I must stop and remind you of the importance of a continued “great work ethic”; empathy, mindset, diligence, adaptability, and dependability during this economic stall is paramount to the survival of jobs and business. Do not become expendable due to complacency or the poor behaviors/attitudes that doom far too many in the workforce, more especially when organizations are forced to make cuts to their workforce.

Much of the essential work our employees perform cannot be done remotely, or from home. We’ve continually monitored the worksites we staff to ensure the proper preventative health measures are in place to protect our employees’ health. Our great clients have stepped up with everything from increasing the frequency and intensity of site sanitizing and cleaning, providing proper PPE, setting up additional hand-washing stations, to adjusting workspaces to ensure the recommended social distancing guidelines. We will continually communicate with our employees and our clientele to identify additional ways to

improve on these measures. We ask that in addition to all the normal things you do to stay healthy, you continue to practice the preventive measures issued by the CDC:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. If soap and water aren't available, use an alcohol-based sanitizer that is at least 60% alcohol.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

  • Stay home when you are sick.

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

We'll continue to share vital health and work information as it becomes available.

We will also continue to work diligently to ensure you stay employed. We ask that you do the same.

Again, we want you to know how much we appreciate your commitment, adaptability, flexibility, and courage during these uncertain times. Together we will continue to expertly serve our community and our great nation as it heals.

We ask that you please take care of yourselves and your loved ones. These are certainly overwhelming and difficult times — but together we will weather this storm and prevail.

Thank you, and

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Michael R. Frazier
