When evaluating candidates, it's not just about ticking boxes. It's about understanding the critical elements at play:

  • Risk Management: Is the role in question a guardian of trust, working with the vulnerable, or positioned in unsupervised scenarios?

  • Data Security: Will this individual have the keys to the kingdom and access to confidential or sensitive information?

  • Specialized Competence: Does the position demand specific qualifications, certifications, or adherence to regulatory standards?

  • Asset Protection: Is there exposure to financial assets, controlled substances, or high-value inventory?

  • Reputational Stakes: What are the implications for your brand and legal standing if misconduct occurs on your watch?

Peak Talent Capital Solutions is one of a few select companies in Georgia and the nation to be registered and certified as a "Designated Agent" and "Corporate Administrator" under the U.S. Government's E-Verify Program through the auspices of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). We are proud to be a part of this Federal Government initiative.

ENROLLING WITH PEAKVERIFY PROVIDES PEACE OF MIND THAT YOU ARE IN COMPLIANCE.

E-Verify is an Internet-based system operated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in conjunction with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA) that allows participating employers to verify the employment eligibility of their newly hired employees electronically.

As a certified participant and Designated Agent in the program, Peak offers the assurance to our clients who voluntarily choose and/or to those clients, federal contractors, and subcontractors who are required by Law to utilize E-Verify, effective as of 9/8/2009, that all potential employees are eligible for hire. The law directs federal agencies to require federal contractors to agree to verify the employment eligibility of their employees electronically. Federal contracts awarded and solicitations issued after 9/8/2009 include a clause committing government contractors to use E-Verify.

Simplified:

Client Enrollment Fee—$112.00—This is the fee for Peak to enroll you as a client and act as your designated agent for E-Verify. You will be provided with an ID number, placards, and all the material needed to verify that you are acting in good faith and compliance by checking all your new employees through E-Verify as required by law.
Client Annual Renewal Fee- $75.00 after the first year of service.
After the initial enrollment fee, there will be a $12.50 fee for each employee verified by Peak through the E-Verify program.

If you are a Peak client, a company, or a certified professional who has a specific and legitimate need to confirm, validate, or verify information for pre-employment, internal investigations, or fraud prevention, please get in touch with us.

PEAK IS AN E-VERIFY THIRD PARTY AGENT

As an E-Verify Third Party Agent, Peak is a liaison between E-Verify and employers and Peak clients who wish to participate but choose to outsource the submission of employment eligibility verification queries for newly hired employees.

E-Verify Third Party Agents conduct the verification process for other employers/clients. Peak is registered and certified as an E-Verify Third Party Agent and has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This approved (MOU) allows Peak to register employers/clients and begin performing verification services for any company or client.

Peak is a "Designated Agent" certified to act on your company's behalf in this process - saving you time, profit, and sanity by:

  • Eliminating the requirement that your staff spend hours reviewing the DHS online tutorial and taking their mandatory Mastery Test until they achieve a passing score (2 to 4 hours on average).

  • Automatically providing you with confirmation within one (1) business day of request.

  • Automatically providing you with the SSA "Tentative Non-Confirmation" employee notice and "SSA Referral Letter" plus follow-up responses for E-Verify tentative non-confirmation results, if necessary.

  • Automatically providing you with the DHS "Tentative Non-Confirmation" employee notice and "DHS Referral Letter" plus follow-up responses for E-Verify tentative non-confirmation results, if necessary.

  • Storing a copy of your E-Verify exchanged documents and records in case you are audited.

Allow Peak to fulfill some of the contingent employment, direct hire/professional placement, employee screening, and HR functions on an outsourced basis and as needed that many small businesses have neither the time nor resources to allocate in these critical areas.

EMPLOYERS & E-VERIFY
E-Verify is currently the best means available for employers to verify the employment eligibility of their newly hired employees electronically. E-Verify virtually eliminates Social Security mismatch letters, improves the accuracy of wage and tax reporting, protects jobs for authorized U.S. workers, and helps U.S. employers maintain a legal workforce.

E-Verify works by allowing participating employers to electronically compare employee information taken from Form I-9 (the paper-based employee eligibility verification form used for all new hires) against more than 449 million records in SSA's database and more than 80 million records in DHS immigration databases. Results are returned in seconds. Key enhancements in the program include a new Photo Screening Tool that helps employers detect forged or faked immigration documents.

An employer who verifies work authorization under E-Verify has established a rebuttable presumption that it has not knowingly hired an unauthorized alien. Participation in the program does not provide a “safe harbor” from worksite enforcement, however.

EMPLOYEES & E-VERIFY
Federal law requires that all employers verify the identity and employment eligibility of all new employees (including U.S. citizens) within three days of hire. Employees are required to complete the Form I-9, and employees must provide employers with documentation establishing both identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA) have established an electronic system called E-Verify to assist employers further in verifying the employment eligibility of all newly hired employees. In short, through E-Verify, employers send information about you from your Form I-9 to SSA and DHS to ensure that you are authorized to work in the United States and that your name, Social Security Number, date of birth, citizenship status, and any other non-citizen information you provide your employer on the Form I-9 match government records. If your employer uses E-Verify, you, as an employee, have certain rights and responsibilities. Peak can provide a letter to any employee who successfully verifies their identity and employment eligibility screening.

PHOTO SCREENING TOOL
E-Verify's Photo Screening Tool is the beginning of biometric verification within the E-Verify system. This additional feature will be the first step in giving employers the tools they need to detect identity theft in the employment eligibility process.

The Photo Screening Tool feature allows an employer to check the photo on his or her new hire's Employment Authorization Document (EAD) or Permanent Resident Card ("Green Card") against the 14.8 million images stored in DHS immigration databases.

CONFIRM CITIZENSHIP STATUS
As of May 5, 2008, the E-Verify system includes naturalization data, which helps to instantly confirm the citizenship status of naturalized U.S. citizens hired by E-Verify employers. Naturalized citizens who have not yet updated their records with the Social Security Administration (SSA) are the largest category of work-authorized persons who initially face an SSA mismatch in E-Verify.

Additionally, a naturalized citizen who receives a citizenship mismatch with SSA can call USCIS directly to resolve the issue (in addition to the option of resolving the mismatch in person at any SSA field office). Peak will provide the documents to assist the employee in resolving any mismatch issues. There is a Social Security Administration field office within minutes from Peak's corporate office.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT & BACKGROUND CHECKS
As a client of Peak, in addition to our E-Verify services, you have access on a demonstrated legal basis to extensive databases that include searchable and cross-referenced public information on approximately 98% of the United States adult population. We utilize solutions and have access to research, databases, and billions of records that are currently being used by government agencies, homeland security, the IRS, and law enforcement professionals such as the F.B.I., U.S. Marshals, D.E.A., and local police departments and sheriff's offices nationwide.

We perform background checks on individuals by SSN, DOB, name, address, license plate, VIN, cell/landline phones, assets, and criminal/civil court records in order to confirm, validate, and verify information.
